Daily Work

Working on core this week. As of now, I focus on:
-Opening pelvic floor diamond when I sit and stand.
-Feet flat on the floor when I sit and stand, thighs pressing into the chair when I sit.
-Engaging my transverse abdomens
-Breathing awareness, particularly breathing slowly
-Opening up and widening my upper torso for optimum lung capacity and relaxed shoulders

I LOVE that I'm working daily and diligently on my posture, a long-time dream of mine.

The Pelvic Floor

Lesson 1 was about the pelvis: keeping sit bones spread; putting weight in the feet, legs and pelvic floor diamond; leaning onto the feet before pushing up to standing; sitting straight down on your pelvic floor diamond. I skipped through to the transverse abdominis muscle, and I'm keeping that in min, too.
